UP Board hosts state-level online guidance session today ahead of 2026 exams; check live webcast here
The Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, has released an office memorandum for a significant state-level online guidance session for students preparing for the 2026 board exams. This initiative is a part of the efforts to improve academic support for Class 10 and Class 12 students during the 2025-26 academic session.The online guidance session, named “Session by ACS, Secondary Education on Board Examination, 2026,” will take place on YouTube on 14 February 2026 at 10:30 am, chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The purpose of the session is to provide systematic advice and guidance to students to help them perform better.Smart PreparationAs per the office memorandum, the session will focus on subject-wise preparation strategies, which will help students identify important topics with high weightage and prepare accordingly. The experts are likely to stress the need to understand the marking scheme, solve previous year’s question papers, and prepare concepts rather than mugging up.The memorandum states that the session will provide an opportunity for students to gain insight into the following areas: * Subject-wise preparation strategies* Identifying important topics with high weightage* Understanding the marking scheme* Solving previous year’s question papers* Preparing concepts rather than mugging upStudents will also be provided with advice on how to manage their revision timetables effectively. Authorities advise that study time should be broken down into manageable chunks, with daily targets set and a balanced schedule that includes regular breaks to avoid exhaustion.Time Management and Exam StrategyTime management is an important aspect of succeeding in board exams. During the online class, students will be provided with advice on how to manage time effectively during the exam, from reading the question paper carefully to organizing answers before putting pen to paper. Students will be advised to answer questions they are sure about first and to leave enough time for revision.Teachers and principals have been directed to ensure that as many students as possible attend the livestream, enabling them to benefit directly from expert advice.Managing Stress and Staying MotivatedThe session will also address exam-related stress, a growing concern among secondary students. Speakers are expected to discuss simple stress-management techniques such as maintaining regular sleep patterns, practising light physical activity and seeking support from teachers and family when needed.Participation in the online session is mandatory for Divisional Joint Directors of Education, District School Inspectors, principals, centre administrators and teachers. Schools across government, aided and unaided sectors have been instructed to arrange for the livestream and facilitate student participation.
