SWAYAM January exam dates 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam schedule for the Study Webs of Active-learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) January 2026 semester. Candidates planning to appear for the exam can check the dates on the official website at exams.nta.nic.in/swayam/.SWAYAM is a national-level online education initiative supported by the Government of India. The exams will be conducted for 648 courses. The examination will be held in hybrid mode. This includes Computer-Based Tests (VCBT) and Pen and Paper tests. The mode of exam for each course will be mentioned in the course-specific details.
NTA SWAYAM exam dates and schedule
As per the official notice, the SWAYAM January 2026 semester exams will be conducted on June 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, 2026.NTA has also announced buffer dates on June 22 and 23, 2026. These dates may be used if required due to technical or administrative reasons.
- The exams will be held in two shifts each day.
- The first shift will run from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
The second shift will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. The medium of the question paper will be English only. However, language papers will be conducted in their respective languages.There will be no negative marking for wrong answers in the MCQ sections. This provides relief to candidates appearing for the exam.
