JPSC Civil Services Examination 2026: 103 Vacancies Announced

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has announced the Combined Civil Services Competitive Examination 2025, which will fill a total of 103 vacancies in nine different state services. This recruitment process includes important administrative and police posts like Deputy Collector and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), making it one of the biggest state-level recruitment exams of the year.The online application process for this recruitment exam will start from 31st January 2026 and will continue until 14th February 2026 at 5:00 PM. The preliminary exam will be held on 8th March 2026, and the main exam will be held from 2nd May 2026 to 4th May 2026. It is to be noted that there is no limit to the number of attempts, and candidates are free to appear for the exam as many times as they want, as long as they are within the age limit.Total Vacancies and Post-wise DistributionThe Combined Civil Services Examination 2025 will fill a total of 103 vacancies in nine different services. Examination Schedule and Selection ProcessAccording to the commission, the preliminary examination will be conducted on 8 March 2026. Candidates shortlisted through the preliminary stage—up to 15 times the total number of vacancies—will be eligible to appear in the main examination, scheduled from 2 to 4 May 2026.The interview is tentatively planned between 16 and 19 June 2026. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks of the main examination and the interview.Minimum Qualifying MarksTo qualify for the main examination:• 40% marks are mandatory for General category candidates• 34% for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC)• 36.5% for Backward Classes (BC)The interview will carry 100 marks, and no minimum qualifying marks have been prescribed for this stage.Limited Vacancies in Certain ServicesSome services have a very limited number of posts. For instance:• District Samadeshta (Home Department): 2 posts (1 UR, 1 BC)• Probation Officer (Home Department): 4 posts (2 UR, 2 BC)• Assistant Director (Women and Child Development Department): 3 posts (2 UR, 1 ST)• Assistant Registrar (Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperatives Department): 2 posts (1 UR, 1 ST)Reservation DetailsThis year, there is no horizontal reservation offered for the tribal/sportsperson categories.
