IndiGo CEO resigns, months after mass flight cancellations

The airline’s promoter Rahul Bhatia will assume the management of the airline in the interim, according to a press statement.

A copy of the resignation letter available on the stock exchanges read, “as per our conversation, due to personal reasons, I herewith submit my resignation from the position of CEO of IndiGo with effect from today. I would request that notice period may be waived off.”

IndiGo saw over 5,000 flights cancelled in November and December leading to six lakh passengers being affected.
