The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has started the online registration process for Haryana Civil Services (HCS) 2026 from today, February 6, 2026. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 102 vacancies in the Executive Branch and other allied services under the Haryana government. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official HPSC website. The last date to apply online is February 26, 2026, till 5 pm.The HPSC issued the official notification for HCS 2026 on January 30, 2026. As per the schedule, the preliminary examination will be held on April 26, 2026. Candidates who qualify the prelims will appear for the main written examination, which is scheduled to be conducted from June 27 to June 29, 2026.

HPSC HCS important dates and vacancies

The online application window will remain open from February 6 to February 26, 2026. The preliminary examination is scheduled for April 26, 2026, while the main examination will be held between June 27 and June 29, 2026.A total of 102 vacancies have been announced for various posts. These include Haryana Civil Service (Executive Branch), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO), District Food and Supplies Controller (DFSC), Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Tehsildar, and other allied posts.

Eligibility criteria and age limit

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. The minimum age is 18 years. For DSP posts, the upper age limit is 27 years. For other posts, the upper age limit is 42 years. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per Haryana government rules.Applicants must be Indian citizens. Detailed category-wise eligibility conditions are available in the official notification.

Selection process and exam pattern

The selection process has three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test.The prelims exam will have two objective-type papers of 100 marks each — General Studies and CSAT. Paper II will be qualifying in nature. Only marks of General Studies will be considered for shortlisting to the mains.The mains exam will have six descriptive papers, each carrying 100 marks. These include English, Hindi, and four General Studies papers. Candidates who qualify in the mains will be called for the interview, which carries 75 marks.The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the mains examination and the personality test.Direct link to apply here.
