The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) 2025 notification has been officially released. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, has issued the notification on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This exam is conducted every year to check the eligibility of candidates who want to become Assistant Professors or Lecturers in universities and colleges across Andhra Pradesh. As per the official update, the online registration process for APSET 2025 will begin on January 9, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply through the official website, apset.net.in. The exam will be conducted in March 2026. Candidates are advised to read all instructions carefully before applying. Important details related to application dates, eligibility, exam schedule, and fees are provided below in simple terms for easy understanding.

APSET 2025 registration dates and important deadlines

The online application process for APSET 2025 will start on January 9, 2026. Candidates can submit their application forms without paying any late fee until February 9, 2026. After this date, applicants will still be allowed to apply but with a late fee.Candidates who miss the first deadline can apply with a late fee of ₹2,000 along with the regular application fee until February 25, 2026. Another chance will be given to candidates to apply with a higher late fee of ₹5,000 along with the application fee until March 5, 2026. No applications will be accepted after this date under any circumstances. Applicants are advised to complete the process early to avoid last-minute problems.

APSET 2025 examination schedule

The APSET 2025 exam is scheduled for two days, March 28 and March 29, 2026. The exam will be conducted in many sessions at different centres throughout Andhra Pradesh. The specific day of the exam, the time of the session, and the location of the centre will be printed on the hall ticket.The hall ticket will be released online a few days before the exam. Candidates must download and print the hall ticket from the official website, as it is mandatory to carry it to the exam centre.

Eligibility criteria for APSET 2025

To apply for APSET 2025, candidates must have completed a Master’s degree from a recognised university. General and EWS category candidates should have at least 55 per cent marks. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, PwD, and Third Gender categories need a minimum of 50 per cent marks.Students who are currently in the final year of their Master’s degree can also apply. However, their eligibility will be confirmed only after they submit proof of passing the degree within the given time.
