United Airlines overhauls MileagePlus program — here’s what to know

Earning airline frequent flyer miles is getting harder and more expensive. United Airlines is the latest to be making big changes to its MileagePlus frequent flyer program. The airline will give more rewards to customers that have one of the carrier’s co-branded credit cards over those without one. The changes mark the biggest shakeup to the lucrative program in more than a decade.
