NTPC EET recruitment 2026: Registration begins tomorrow for 515 posts through GATE 2025

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has released the notification for Engineering Executive Trainee (EET) recruitment 2026 through GATE 2025. The online registration process will begin from February 11, 2026. Eligible engineering graduates can apply through the official NTPC careers portal. A total of 515 vacancies have been announced across multiple engineering disciplines. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their GATE 2025 scores. NTPC is one of India’s largest power generation companies and a Maharatna PSU. Interested candidates are advised to check the detailed notification for eligibility conditions, age limit, discipline-wise vacancies and other important instructions before applying online.

NTPC vacancy details and disciplines

NTPC has announced 515 Engineering Executive Trainee posts. The recruitment is being conducted for various engineering streams including Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil and Mining.Candidates must have a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognised university or institution. Only candidates who have appeared in GATE 2025 in the corresponding paper are eligible to apply.The detailed discipline-wise breakup of vacancies is available in the official notification. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD categories will be applicable as per Government of India rules.

Eligibility criteria and age limit

The applicants should have a valid score in the respective engineering disciplines in the GATE 2025 examination. The upper age limit for applicants from the General Category is 27 years. The upper age limits shall also be relaxed for applicants belonging to the Reserved Category as per norms.Final year students are also eligible to apply, subject to meeting the required eligibility criteria at the time of joining.Candidates must ensure that they meet all eligibility conditions before submitting the online application form.

Selection process, pay scale and how to apply

The selection criteria are based on GATE 2025 scores. Further rounds of selection may include interviews, document verification, and medical tests as per NTPC recruitment processes.Selected candidates will be placed in the E1 grade pay scale of ₹40,000–1,40,000. During training and after regularisation, candidates will receive salary and other allowances as per company rules.The online application process will begin on February 11, 2026. It is recommended to submit the application form at least 5-6 days before the last date of submission in order to avoid last-minute problems arising due to heavy traffic on websites.
