UPSC CDS 1 result 2025: List of recommended candidates

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the marks of recommended candidates for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I), 2025. Candidates who cleared both the written exam and the SSB interview can now check their scores on the official UPSC website.The marks list shows scores obtained in the written examination, the SSB interview, and the total marks. A total of 535 candidates, including 473 men and 62 women, have been recommended for training at the Officers’ Training Academy. Aspirants can download the official marks PDF and verify their details before the next phase of the course.

How to check UPSC CDS‑I 2025 merit list

Candidates can check their marks on the official UPSC website. Go to upsc.gov.in and open the “What’s New” section. Click on the link called “Marks of Recommended Candidates: Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2025.” This will open a PDF with the marks. The list shows the candidate’s roll number, name, written exam marks, SSB interview marks, and total marks. Details of recommended candidates

A total of 535 candidates have been recommended in CDS‑I 2025. Among them, 473 are men and 62 are women. These candidates have qualified for the 123rd Short Service Commission (SSC) course for men and the 37th SSC course for women at the Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai. The marks released reflect performance in both the written exam and the SSB interview. This step confirms their recommendation, subject to final verification and medical examination, which is the last stage before joining the training program.

What’s next?

After the UPSC CDS-1 2025 results have been announced, the qualified candidates will subsequently move to the next rounds of the selection process. Firstly, they have to go through the document verification stage for the confirmation of their eligibility. Secondly, they have to pass the medical test administered by the Armed Forces Medical Board. The candidates who successfully complete these steps will be issued the letters of joining the 123rd SSC course for men or 37th SSC course for women at the Officers Training Academy, Chennai. Lastly, initiation of their military training which will equip them for their commissioning into the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force will take place. These steps are essential before officially joining the defence services.
